The sun greeted us and a bus took us to London Eye. The view was fantastic and we saw a lot famous sights from London Eye. Afterwards we passed Westminster Abbey,Westminster Bridge, Big Ben ,…..
Then we went to Eastbourne where our host families were waiting for their host kids.

Today we explored Eastbourne. Our teachers showed us the centre, the sea, the beach, the peer, the way to our buses, the Pedestrian Zone with lots of shops!!
In the afternoon we had lessons. Then we walked home to our families (or took the bus).

We had lessons from 9: 00 to 12:20 a.m... Our teachers are called Janine, John and Jim. Then we went to Hastings by train. There we visited the old town, the old castle and the SMUGGLERS´ CAVES-that was great and exciting though it was very dark inside. Our dinner was very delicious this evening!

Today we had to get up very early because this was our “LONDON DAY”. We went to Victoria station by train. Then we took the London underground. At first we saw the CROWN JEWELS in the Tower of London.. We also walked over Tower Bridge and later over Millennium Bridge.
At St. Katherine ´s Dock we had a short break. Then we went to the top of St. Paul ´s Cathedral!!
In the afternoon we went to Covent Garden. That was great though it was raining and cold. We were very tired when we arrived at home.

May 18 th :
We had free time till midday. We slept a bit longer this day because we had been so tired. We met at the railway station in Eastbourne because we went to Brighton. There we went shopping in beautiful small shops. Afterwards we went to SEALIFE where we saw lots of cool fish and other animals which live in the deep sea. Then we went to the sea. The water was very cold, but some of us tried to put their feet into the water. We found some huge shells at the beach. Then we travelled back to Eastbourne.

May 19 th:
At first we went to the beach. A bus took us to the cliffs of BEACHY HEAD. The white cliffs are 200 metres high. It was windy, but amazing. We had to walk downhill for an hour to get back to Eastbourne. In the afternoon we had lessons. Then we had some time to go shopping.

May 20 th :
We had lessons in the morning this day- our last ones! Then we went to the beach where we collected some shells. At the post office we met our teachers to make the second part of the Eastbourne treasure hunt. That is a quiz about Eastbourne. The first part we had had to do on Monday. At home we had dinner and talked with our host family.

May 21 st:
In the morning our host families brought us with our heavy suitcases to the bus station. The bus took us to London where we went to Buckingham Palace to watch the change of the guards. There were many people. At last we visited Madame Tussaud ´s where we saw many famous people. All are made of wax, but they look very real.  Then it was time to say good bye to England. It had been an exciting, wonderful week, but we were also happy to get back to our “real” families!
